Real Estate Professionals Gather to Share Insights at Legacy Master Class

Legacy Group Capital’s Master Class hosted last week at the Bellevue Club was an opportunity for professionals from both sides of the real estate business — real estate brokers and loan officers — to come together in the spirit of continued learning.

The event, designed to offer network strategies and insight necessary to scale successful businesses, featured opening remarks from CEO Scott Rerucha, a panel discussion with six extraordinary industry leaders, and a keynote speech from top mortgage coach Tim Braheem.

We were honored to have the following professionals join us for our panel:

  • Rose Marie David – Senior Vice President of Retail Sales – CMG Home Loans
  • OB Jacobi – President/Owner – Windermere Real Estate
  • Jennifer Lind – Regional President, West Region – Coldwell Banker Realty
  • Casey Oiness – Branch Manager – Guild Mortgage
  • Max Rombakh – Managing Broker, Greater Eastside – Windermere Real Estate
  • Moya Skillman – Principal Broker – Team Foster, COMPASS

Scott asked the panel questions that required reflections on their experiences throughout their careers. One common thread across conversations was added value, with many sharing specific examples of how they provided value to clients and the business opportunities that followed. They also seemed to share an embrace of one key lesson at the heart of Legacy’s business model: No one can build a business alone. You need to earn trust from clientele and nurture those relationships so your partnerships continue to yield a profit — both personally and professionally. Beyond this, each professional discussed how they found their own way to distinguish themselves from the pack, drawing on their unique strengths and approaches.

Another key takeaway was acknowledging and adapting to the major ways in which the real estate industry continues to change. Rather than fighting them, or being afraid of them, being curious and clocking how these changes can complement your business model is the most advantageous way to keep moving forward through challenging and uncertain times.

Tim also shared valuable insights, drawing from his deep interest in the nature of psychology and the role emotions play in interactions, both business and otherwise. He emphasized that strong connections are the foundation of business growth and highlighted simple yet effective ways to stand out—like following through on commitments and checking in with past clients just to see how they’re doing. According to Tim, trying too hard to sell yourself can make people defensive. But when you show genuine interest in others and focus on how you can add value, something more powerful happens: real connection.
